Look Up

As a generation where phones, tablets, and digital devices have become the way in which we view people and the world around us, what happens when we physically “Look Up” and see the world past the filters and AI generated photos from our devices. This series articulates the concept and experience of looking up and seeing the sky and natural world that swims above and around us. It’s about taking note of the textural and color differences of the sun's light and how it bleeds into the clouds and how both of those marry one another and deliver its beauty to the naked eye. It’s also noting the light as night falls, the color of sand on a beach, the movement of water or the changing of seasons. The stillness but ever changing nature of it all is beautiful. By falling in love with what's naturally created, a desire is formed to capture a small, still window of what's happening above, around, and in front of us for what it is in its essence.

The Look Up series is a current ongoing collection of work for 2024. Stay tuned for more work as the year progresses. Thanks!
